AT or ON the beach?

I'm at the beach but that doesn't mean you won't have a little bit of English...lol.
Further explanation on the comments.
P.S: don't laugh, ok?

I use "AT" when I want to say that I'm anywhere in the city where there's a beach (even the on the beach).
I use "ON" when I want to say that I'm on the sand, the seashore like in picture 2: I'm literally on the beach.
